St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Mary’s St. Vincent de Paul Society...
in Groveport is comprised of men and women of all ages who are interested in
providing an outreach to those in need in the parish and community.
Our mission:
The purpose of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is to fulfill the two great
Commandments: love of God and love of neighbor. We seek out God’s materially
and spiritually needy. No need is too large or too small. Sometimes resources are
needed, sometimes we can do no more than listen and comfort.
Who we serve?
Our St. Vincent de Paul Society ministers to a wide range of people. We have
continuing projects that we are involved in, and we are always ready to lend a hand
to individuals in time of special need.
For individuals struggling because of health problems, job loss, housing issues, food
shortages and other personal needs, our St. Vincent de Paul Society is ready to lend
assistance on an emergency basis, or refer to agencies who can give greater help.
The projects we lead/maintain?
How the Society is supported?
The St. Mary’s St. Vincent de Paul is supported by the generous donations of the
parish community. During times of great need, such as the relief of victims of natural
disasters, the greater Groveport area offers goods and services. Our parish
conference does not have fund raisers, but depends on the generosity of its
parishioners.
Where you can find us?
We are all parish members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. You can talk with us after
Church on Sunday. Or you can call the rectory (497-1324) and leave a message for
a member to contact you. We are anxious to help out in any way we can.
How you can help?
The success of the St. Vincent de Paul of St. Mary’s parish is dependent on the
generosity of the parish members. Please contribute regularly to our basket
collections on the third Sunday of each month. No amount is too small! Only through
your help can we lend a helping hand to out-of-work families, those on fixed incomes,
and families experiencing health or other problems.
